Head On Portrait Prize

Prizes worth $16,000 (cash and product). Forty finalists will be exhibited at the Museum Of Sydney. Like last year, the exhibition is expected to travel internationally.

What the judges are looking for: "The image must feature or reflect the essence of a person or group of people.... Group portraits and self-portraits will be accepted."

Head On Landscape Prize
The 1st prize is $5,000 cash plus goodies worth $5,000! Finalists will be exhibited at the NSW Parliament House and an extra $5,000 cash prize will be awarded to an image shot in NSW.

What the judges are looking for: "Head On’s approach to ‘Landscape’ is very broad and encompasses ‘large vista’ images of the natural environment (land or sea), urban or industrial settings. It may include people but these should be ‘incidental’ "

Head On Moving Image Prize

The Prize pool is over $13,000 with 1st prize comprising $2,500 cash and $4,500 worth of goodies. Finalists will be shown at Brenda May Gallery.

What the judges are looking for: "The work can be of any genre; it should be short pieces and may be a combination of multimedia, visual art, sound art, moving images or other media".

Head On Mobile Prize
The Prize pool totals over $15,500 with 1st prize comprising $2,500 cash and $10,000 worth of goodies. Finalists will be exhibited at Depot Gallery.

What the judges are looking for: "Images submitted can be of any subject matter and any style as long as they were captured on a mobile device."
