Call for application Festival Manifesto 2010

ManisfestO is invi­ting any artists to sub­mit their work for its heigth visual arts exhi­bi­tion/fes­ti­val . September 16 to October 10 2010

Artists willing to show their work are invi­ted to send a appli­ca­tion for any of the fol­lo­wing cate­go­ries : pho­to­graph exhi­bi­tion , ins­tal­la­tions, per­for­man­ces….

No spe­ci­fic theme is impo­sed. The artist's art work consis­tency being favou­red. Any pro­po­sal should be recei­ved by 30th march 2010.

Each can­di­date will be per­son­nally infor­med by e-mail and the list of the selec­ted artists will be publi­shed on the site end of April 2010.

The selec­tion will be made by a jury com­po­sed of visual arts pro­fes­sio­nals

For the pho­to­gra­phers exhi­bi­tion the appli­ca­tion should include :
- A writ­ten ( A4) des­crip­tion of your concept,
- a consis­tent series of ima­ges illus­tra­tive of your work .
- any extra CDs must be com­pa­ti­ble with Mac or PC's, ima­ges in jpeg type. A tech­ni­cal file should men­tion the fol­lo­wing ele­ments
- details about the pre­sen­ta­tion,
- the num­ber, size and qua­lity of the prin­tings
- type of mate­rial you need : can­vas, sce­no­gra­phy, sound…
- full name and address Files on Cds only without any paper des­crip­tion will not be selec­ted

Selected artists To pro­mote the fes­ti­val/exhi­bi­tion ( tv, inter­net, flyers, pos­ters, pro­gralm­mes) artits must allow mani­festo use part of their work without any finan­cial com­pen­sa­tion for pro­du­cers and artists/authors Manifesto will cover for pre­sen­ta­tion fees up to 150 € toge­ther with tra­vel expen­ses up to150 € , up to 300 € in total.

Please send your work to : Festival ManifestO/ZE. 8, rue Gutemberg 31200 Toulouse. if the appli­ca­tion are sent without a for­war­ding pos­tage paid self addres­sed enve­lo­pes , they will not be sent back and will have to be retrie­ved at the fes­ti­val's recep­tion desk. If you want your work to be sent back to you after the selec­tion please make sure you enclose a pos­tage paid self addres­sed enve­lope.

Very Important : as mani­festo is based on volun­tee­ring, any par­ti­ci­pa­ting artist beco­mes mem­ber of the orga­ni­sa­tion and must, then, par­ti­ci­pate to the pre­pa­ra­tion and any tasks that are neces­sary to a smooth run­ning of the event. The Selected artists will be in charge of the set­ting up and taking off of their work. Participants will pay a 15 € sub­scrip­tion fee to the asso­cia­tion. prin­tings, fra­mings and any other pre­sen­ta­tion media will be at the selec­ted artists' expen­ses.
