Saadiyat Cultural District, Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The next edition of Abu Dhabi. Art will mark the seventh year, continuing to highlight Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a leading arts destination and platform for global cross-cultural dialogue. Abu Dhabi Art will take place from November 18 – 21, 2015. Abu Dhabi Art’s 2014 edition presented an interdisciplinary programme of art, talks and sensational experiences with participation from renowned artists, collectors, galleries and art professionals from around the world covering topics relevant to the capital’s cultural institutions and guiding principles which reflect on themes of time, space and history.

Shilpa Gupta - Half a Sky
The OK Offenes Kulturhaus Upper Austria is presenting in winter 2010/2011 a solo exhibition of the work of Shilpa Gupta, one of the pre-eminent contemporary Indian artists.
A cross-section of works along with a new installation produced in conjunction with the OK provide a look at the oeuvre of the young Mumbai-based artist. The new piece is an interactive sound installation, a "skin globe" that viewers bring to life with their touch.
Shilpa Gupta works across disciplines and with a variety of media: interactive video, internet, photography, object art and performance. In her diverse works, Gupta blurs the boundaries between art and everyday culture, calling into question how we think and who we are. Her themes include consumer behavior and cravings, violence and security-consciousness, religion, terroris...
