Robert ParkeHarrison emploie le négatif de papier et le collage pour construire des récits de guérison et de restauration parmi des paysages dévastés par la technologie et la surexploitation. Il est né au Missouri en 1968, et son épouse Shana est née en Oklahoma en 1964. Après plusieurs années de collaboration, les ParkeHarrison ont commencé à exposer leur travail en tant que co-créateurs en 2001. Leur première exposition muséale importante intitulée The Architect's Brother, est présentement en circulation; une monographie a été publiée pour accompagner l'exposition. Leur travail a été exposé aux États-Unis et en Europe; il est représenté dans plusieurs collections. Les ParkeHarrison vivent au Massachusetts.

Robert & Shana ParkeHarrison gained instant recognition for their collaborative works shortly after graduate school when they began constructing and choreographing scenarios about mans effect on the landscape. In these stagings, Robert would dress in a black suit and starched white shirt, often referenced as the Everyman, and interact with the land, creating environmental performances. These surreal images addressed issues about the earth and mankind's responsibility to heal the damage he created, and can be seen in their well-regarded first monograph, The Architect's Brother, and in their second book of color images, Counterpoint.
