Encore peu connu en France, Nicolás Muller (Orosháza, Hongrie, 1913-Andrín, Espagne, 2000) est l’une des grandes figures de la photographie sociale hongroise. Comme plusieurs de ses compatriotes photographes — Eva Besnyö, Brassaï, Robert Capa, André Kertész et Kati Horna — Nicolás Muller a connu l’exil.Issu d’une famille juive bourgeoise, il fuit les régimes répressifs des pays européens à mesure qu’il les traverse. Après des études de photographie à Toulouse, je travaille en tant qu'indépendant et pour différentes agences publicitaires. Par la suite, je deviens directeur de la photographie pour le magazine WAS à Strasbourg, où je réalise divers reportages et portraits de personnalités. Aujourd'hui, à nouveau indépendant, je traite tous les jours de sujets différents. Je n'aime pas particulièrement faire des photos de mises en scène : je préfère capturer la spontanéité et la réalité de l'instant.

Andreas Müller-Pohle is a Berlin-based media artist and the publisher and editor of European Photography, the international art magazine for contemporary photography and new media. He studied Economics and Communications at the University of Hannover and the University of Göttingen. In 1986 he published Vilém Flusser‘s Die Schrift – Hat Schreiben Zukunft? (“Does Writing Have a Future?”) as the first electronic book on diskette. Born and raised in New York City, Romney studied Fashion Illustration and Graphic Design at Parsons The New School for Design. After graduating, she moved to Europe where she illustrated catalogues for fashion companies and was able to establish herself as an illustrator before pursuing an international modelling career, working for labels such as Chanel, Azzedine Alaia, Yojhi Yamamoto, Versace and Jil Sander.
