Michael Vince Kim is an American-born Korean photographer whose work focuses on personal stories of migration, language, and identity. He was raised in Argentina where he studied Film Directing, and subsequently pursued a degree in Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh. In 2015, his ongoing project on the Koreans of Kazakhstan won Magnum’s ‘30 Under 30’ award.
The first edition of PRISMA Human Rights Photo Contest is organised by The Global Campus of Master’s Programmes and Diplomas in Human Rights and Democratisation in collaboration with Lightbox.
PRISMA was officially launched during the Venice Art Biennale opening with Alfredo Jaar as special guest. The theme of 2015 is “Freedom”. Photographers, professional and amateur, from any part of the world have submitted their work.
