Marla Rutherford born in 1978, received her BA in Psychology at Boston University and her BA in Photography at Art Center College of Design. She was named one of the «Top 50 emerging photographers» to watch by the Musee de l' Elysee in Switzerland which displayed her work in the exhibition «Regeneration: 50 Photographers of Tomorrow».
She was one of 15 photographers to exhibit work in the Discovery Award exhibition at the festival «Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles» in 2008, curated by Christian LaCroix. This year she was chosen to have her work exhibited in the USA network Characters Welcome project, a show that traveled to six US cities, became a hard cover book published by Chronicle and was displayed prominently on billboards in Times Square and shown on Television. She has had exhibitions in Lausanne, Tokyo, Toronto, Paris, Los Angeles, Washington DC and New York.
Marla also shoots for Advertising and Editorial. Clients include ESPN, Entertainment Weekly, People, Time, World Wrestling Entertainment, USA Network, FletcherMartin advertising and many more....
She currently resides in Los Angeles California.
