Festival : « FotoFestival Naarden »
FotoFestival Naarden is held every two years and offers an overview of the newest developments in Dutch photography. This years edition is dedicated to the theme "Water, Water!". Water is intertwined with the history of the Netherlands and its inhabitants. It has always been an important source of inspiration for artists. Dedicated to this theme Linelle Deunk presents works of her series "The World Is (Not) Mine". Lonneke van der Palen is exhibiting her series "Dry Water" in the special show "The Fence". Paul Den Hollander presents his work at the last Kees Scherer Prijs exhibition at FotoFestival Naarden.

STILLLIFE - Vanitas in Photography
In the early days of photography, exposure times were very long, making static objects the ideal subject matter for the pioneers of the medium. However, as the technology developed, the fascination for capturing the still life has remained. While a still life can look deceptively simple, it is one of the most difficult types of art for a photographer to achieve. It requires a keen sense of lighting, as well as great compositional skills. The true test of a great artist thus lies in the creation of a still life.
In this exhibition Kahmann Gallery will show a selection of present-day still life photography by eight renowned artists. Rutger ten Broeke, Linelle Deunk, Casper Faassen, Lonneke van der Palen, Paul den Hollander, Carla van de Puttelaar, Jeroen Toirkens and Lorenzo Vitturi will all present their interpretation...
