Lagos Photo Festival 2014
The LagosPhoto Foundation presents the fifth edition of the annual LagosPhoto Festival in Lagos, Nigeria, October 25-November 26, 2014, entitled « Staging Reality, Documenting Fiction »
Launched in 2010, LagosPhoto is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria. In a month long programme, events include exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations, discussions, screenings, and large scale outdoor installations in congested public spaces in Lagos. LagosPhoto aims to provide a platform for the development and education of contemporary photography in Africa by establishing mentorships and cross- cultural collaborations with local and international artists. Exposition : Le mois de la photographie à Cotonou
Pour cette première édition du « Mois de la photographie » à l’Institut Français de Cotonou, nous avons choisi de vous présenter les travaux de 4 photographes béninois et français. Ces différentes séries sont autant de témoignages de la culture et la vie quotidienne des béninois, telles que les ont ressentis les artistes. Ensemble, ils composent un portrait délicat et émouvant des multiples réalités du Bénin contemporain, encore très marqué par son histoire.
