Curated by André Leon Talley, this is Becker’s first solo exhibition in more than 30 years and his first museum retrospective. Featuring more than 60 photographs, “The Fashionable Mind” showcases Becker’s significant contributions to contemporary photography through his portraiture of diverse human experiences. His compelling landscapes — both of nature and the human figure — explore physicality well beyond surface detail.

Join a public dialogue between acclaimed portraitist and documentarian Jonathan Becker and André Leon Talley, former SCAD trustee and Vogue magazine contributing editor. The event celebrates the opening of “A Fashionable Mind: Photographs by Jonathan Becker,” the artist’s first solo exhibition in more than 30 years and his first museum retrospective. The evening provides a unique opportunity to learn about Becker’s significant contributions to contemporary photography through his portraiture of diverse human experiences.

Fotoasia participe à l'Exposition Internationale de Photographie à la Chartreuse de San Giacomo à Capri, le 16 juillet 2011, avec les photographies de Nicolas Pascarel (France) et de Luis Pinto (Portugal).
Les deux commissaires d'exposition, Maurizio Siniscalco et Mario Franco prèsenteront également les travaux de Jonathan Becker (USA), Salvino Campos (Brésil), Martin Devrient (Allemagne), Fabio Donato (Italie) et Antonio Manfredi (Italie). L'exposition ira ensuite au Brésil, Allemagne et Espagne. Exposition du 16 juillet au 16 septembre 2011.
