La Biennale internationale Grid à Cape Town
Du 14 février au 15 mars se tient à Cape Town, en Afrique du Sud, la biennale internationale Grid.
Réunissant divers projets venus du monde entier, cet événement se concentre sur l'image contemporaine et ses nouveaux enjeux. On y interroge les mutations de la photographie, mais aussi de la culture visuelle, à l'ère numérique.

Depuis 2002 la biennale a fait le tour du monde, c'est sa première fois en Afrique du Sud. Organisée cette année autour du sujet "Construction", les photographes invités ont arpenté le continent africain à la recherche de regards étrangers.

The LagosPhoto Foundation presents the fifth edition of the annual LagosPhoto Festival in Lagos, Nigeria, October 25-November 26, 2014, entitled « Staging Reality, Documenting Fiction »
Launched in 2010, LagosPhoto is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria. In a month long programme, events include exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations, discussions, screenings, and large scale outdoor installations in congested public spaces in Lagos. Exhibition : PRISMA - Human Rights Photo
PRISMA is organised by the Global Campus of Master’s Programmes and Diplomas in Human Rights and Democratisation in collaboration with Lightbox.
PRISMA was officially launched during the Venice Art Biennale opening with Alfredo Jaar as special guest. The theme of 2015 is “Freedom”. Photographers, professional and amateur, from any part of the world have submitted their work.
The twenty selected images will be displayed, along with photographs by the special guest photographer Rena Effendi, to illustrate the relevance of “Freedom” as a fundamental human right and the importance of defending it. Freedom from oppression, freedom of speech and belief, freedom of movement, freedom from fear, freedom of thought and freedom of opinion.
