The American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) Chicago/Midwest Chapter is very pleased to present “EXISTENCE”, a group exhibition that explores what it means to exist in the modern world and the place photography plays as our natural environment and social landscape change around us.
Photographers are the pathfinders of cultures they live in. It’s their responsibility to search out new paths and try to renew the social fabric. This exhibit is the first attempt at dealing with these issues, where photographers must lead the way through their art. The selections range from straight forward documentation to subjective, manipulated narratives, as each photographer defines his or her own notion of existence.
