In the Mondriaanhuis, the birthplace of the artist Piet Mondriaan, Steven Aalders has, on request of the museum, curated his own exhibition. This exhibition is the first in a row of three. Steven Aalders has invited the architect Dom Hans van der Laan and the composer Morton Feldman. With both artists he has a kinship. Made for the Ives Ensemble, these movie's were played in between the live performance to distract the audience from the changing of the Ensemble and the layout on the stage. The style was inspired by the photographs of David Hockney. The concept and shoot was done by the whole AV group that worked on this project, including me. My task on the set was directing cameraman.
