La exposición llegó a Casa África en julio de 2009. Mitschnitt des MMK Talks vom 6. September 2011. Zu Gast waren Simon Njami, Kurator, Autor und Kunstkritiker aus Kamerun, Tania Bruguera, in New York lebende Künstlerin sowie Maria Hlavajova, Gründerin und künstlerische Leiterin des BAK basis voor actuele kunst in Utrecht. Moderiert wurde der Abend von Nikolaus Hirsch, Direktor der Städelschule/ Portikus. Der „Educational Turn" beschreibt die zunehmende Bedeutung und Veränderung von Bildung, Wissensproduktion und Forschung in der zeitgenössischen Kunst. Museen und Ausstellungen werden zu Ausbildungs- und Forschungsstätten, in denen aktuelle Debatten geführt und Wissensformen verhandelt werden. Bei den MMK Talks 'Educational Turn' wurde von den Referenten diskutiert, welche Folgen dies für die künstlerische Praxis haben könnte und wie neue institutionelle Formen der Forschung und Vermittlung weltweit aussehen könnten.

Casa África presentó ante los medios de comunicación, el 9 de julio de 2009, la exposición 'Bamako 07 en la ciudad y más allá' en su sede, en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. La muestra está compuesta por una selección de obras de la VII Bienal de Fotografía de Bamako, 'Rencontres africaines de la photographie', que ocupará las salas expositivas de la citada institución hasta octubre. Participaron en la presentación el comisario general de la Bienal de Fotografía de Bamako, Simon Njami; el comisario de la itinerancia por España de 'Bamako 07 en la ciudad y más allá', Pep Subirós, y el director general de Casa África, Ricardo Martínez. También departieron con los representantes de los medios el fotógrafo malgache Pierrot Meny las comisarias adjuntas de dicha itinerancia, Mónica Santos y Sandra Maunac.

Creator of the Moleskine notebook line for Modo&Modo SpA in the 1990s, since 2007 she has been Director of Brand Equity at Moleskine Srl, in charge of brand value. In particular, she oversees brand development projects in building social networks both offline and online. Previously she worked independently as a consultant on strategic communications and product concept. She collaborated on several different training projects related to creativity and innovation intended for businesses and institutions. Author of several socio-anthropological essays on contemporary change for Electa's Industry and Design series and numerous articles for newspapers and magazines, with a special emphasis on new languages, she has worked on the subject of writing in different fields: creative writing (Etimologiario, 1988 -- 2002; Smentimenti, 2000), copywriting and communication, essays and literary translation (Queneau, Perec, Nabokov, Coleridge).
