Il décide en septembre 2011 de faire don à la Ville de Chalon sur Saône d'une partie de sa collection, témoignant d'une carrière aux multiples facettes. Plus d'une vingtaine d'œuvres originales, 80 000 négatifs noir et blanc et 15 000 positifs couleur viennent donc enrichir les collections du musée Nicéphore Niépce. A cette occasion, il revient en quelques mots sur sa carrière...

Vincent Van Gogh arrive le 20 mai 1890 à Auvers-sur-Oise, et passe ses soixante-dix derniers jours dans la petite auberge Ravoux. Ce livre regroupe ses 82 derniers tableaux et les met en regard avec les lettres, souvent illustrées, qu'il a écrit à son frère Théo et à ses amis. Vincent se tire une balle dans la poitrine dans un champ de blé d'Auvers-sur-Oise et meurt à l'auberge Ravoux le 29 juillet.

The Story of Civil War Veteran Peter Jones Knapp: Redemption and Reconciliation.wmvOn April 13, 2012, the cremains of Civil War Veteran Peter Jones Knapp together with the ashes of his wife, Georgianna, were finally laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon, with full military honors. It is possible that Knapp's burial, delayed by 88 years, will be the last Civil War burial ever taking place at Willamette.. This event is occuring, just in time for the Civil War Sesquientennial, and for the record, Peter Jones Knapp is the only burial in the state of Oregon of a Civil War soldier who fought for both the North and the South. Knapp was captured by the Confederate Army at the battle of Missionary Ridge, and sent to languish in the "hell hole" called Andersonville. In order to avoid a grisly death by disease or starvation, he and a few other inmates jumped at the recruitment opportunity offered to them to serve as "Galvanized Yankees" in the Confederate Gray uniforms. Captured by the troops of Union Brigadier General Benjamin Grierson at the Battle of Egypt Station, Mississippi in December 1864, Knapp finds himself in another prison camp...this time as a Confederate Prisoner of War.
