SOUTH AFRICA vs AUSTRALIA 44-31 Tri nations 2010 [FULL] (GCN News)

GCN News: www.youtube.com Pretoria - South Africa beat Australia 44-31 at Loftus on Saturday for their first win in this year's five Tri-Nations outings, but the victory in itself was not enough to dispel the unease surrounding the Springboks form or strength. Nine tries, all of them converted, were scored with the Boks edging the Wallabies 5-4 in the last minute to give Victor Matfield a win in his 100th Test - the first of the three Boks to have this satisfaction. South Africa were 14-0 behind after five minutes and trailed 28-24 at the break, but came back well in the second half with a try on the hooter to make it seem like a more convincing win than it really was. In a poor first half, the Boks did look the more potent of the two unaccomplished sides when they had good possession but struggled on defence and in their handling. The Boks largely have Francois Hougaard to thank for the win. He set up three of the Boks' five tries and made a try-saving - even match-saving - tackle when the Boks were on the rack in the last quarter. An indictment of the Springboks' present standing in the eyes of the rugby public was that Loftus was far from full, with about 7 000 empty seats telling the story of four successive losses. Only 43 152 people saw the poor first half. Frans Steyn, despite his try, didn't have a good game. He twice kicked out on the full, missed two vital tackles and generally didn't look sharp. Frans Steyn increased the lead to 37-31 with a kick from his own ...

Chopin's Nocturne, Op. 9, No. 2

Title: Nocturne,Op. 9, No. 2 Composer/Pianist: Frédéric François Chopin (Polish: Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin) Some Background Information: The Nocturnes, Op. 9 are a set of three nocturnes written by Frédéric Chopin between 1830 and 1832 and dedicated to Madame Camille Pleyel. The work was published in 1833. Chopin composed Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, No. 2 when he was about twenty. Like much of Chopin's music, this nocturne is tinged with melancholy. A nocturne (from the French which meant nocturnal, from Latin nocturnus) is usually a musical composition that is inspired by, or evocative of, the night. Historically, nocturne is a very old term applied to night Offices and, since the Middle Ages, to divisions in the canonical hour of Matins. The name nocturne was first applied to pieces in the 18th century, when it indicated an ensemble piece in several movements, normally played for an evening party and then laid aside. Sometimes it carried the Italian equivalent, notturno, such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's quadraphonic Notturno in D, K.286, written for four lightly echoing separated ensembles of paired horns with strings, and his Serenata Notturna, K. 239. At this time, the piece was not necessarily evocative of the night, but might merely be intended for performance at night, much like a serenade. France election: Francois Hollande wins first round

French Socialist Francois Hollande has won most votes in the first round of the country's presidential election, early estimates say. He got about 28% of votes, according to projections based on partial results, against about 26% for centre-right incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy. The two men will face each other in a second-round run-off on 6 May. The election has been dominated by widespread anxiety over the French economy and the wider eurozone crisis. The estimates - based on votes counted in polling stations that closed early at 18:00 (16:00 GMT) - were announced by French media when all voting ended at 20:00. It is the first time a French president running for re-election has failed to win the first round since the start of the Fifth Republic in 1958. Mr Sarkozy - who has been in power since 2007 - was facing a total of nine candidates in Sunday's first round. Far-right leader Marine Le Pen came third with about 20% of the vote, and leftist candidate Jean-Luc Melanchon fourth with more than 11%. Centrist Francois Bayrou, who was hoping to repeat his high 2007 score of 18%, garnered only about 9%.

Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug - 1080p

I take no credit. Check me out on Facebook: www.facebook.com OK, to start, I always felt the first video I posted was just lazy. To me anyway. I just basically "cheated" by copying and pasting portions of the video. Making them overlap so the video fit the audio. The quick edit. I decided not to do that this time. I challenged myself by stretching or editing minute parts of the video, making everything fit and nothing overlapping. Not very easy. It would be if I didn't have to match the dubbing. Hard stuff. Plus I have always hated the audio. I used the default program that came with Windows to make that video. So it sounded bad to me. While it's different in some ways compared to the first. I made sure this was converted to 1080p and has the 5.1 digital audio. If you have the set-up, comment on how it sounds. As for the "pop" you hear when the video starts, that's all YouTube. Enjoy. The full song of "The Perfect Drug", written by Trent Reznor. The video has been altered to fit the full version of Reznor's song "The Perfect Drug". I take no credit for the song or video. "The Perfect Drug" is a 1997 song by Nine Inch Nails. It was written for the David Lynch film Lost Highway and originally appeared on the Lost Highway soundtrack. Remixes of the song were released in an EP, "The Perfect Drug" Versions (also known as Halo 11). The music video was directed by Mark Romanek and released on January 18, 1997. It portrays a despairing father played by Reznor who mourns a dead ...

Frédéric Chopin - Nocturne Op.9 No.1 in B flat minor. (Sean Wilde)

I recorded this right after I learned to play it, so sorry for the bad use of dynamics and lack of emotion. I'll be posting some new videos soon of this Nocturne, and Opus 72 number 1. Unfortunately, I only have a digital piano, and doing my last year of secondary schooling at the moment, I don't have time for a job, so I'm stuck with this for now. Let me know what you think anyway :) Thank you.

Françoise Hardy Song of Winter

The song is from the album One-Nine-Seven-Zero (not Soleil as it states at the end doh) and is the English version of Chanson de Lune. Lyrics are by Mikey Jones and the music by Tommy Brown. Google images yielded some from various blogs and anything with a reason to carry her fair image. All over the world - Warren's Gilbert's fine site - is another. Bardotagogo provides some very cute b/w images, though a little too small. This is nothing special, but I hope it isn't too bad.

It also references The Gashlycrumb Tinies. Other references include Gustav Klimt's painting The Kiss (1907 - 1908) and a "Scanning Machine" designed by Frenchman François Willème in 1860. Charlie Clouser, Danny Lohner, and Chris Vrenna appear in the video, most notably playing string instruments at the beginning of the video. Despite being a single, "The Perfect Drug" has never been performed live. On the official NIN website, "Sara" asked whether this is because "the drum solo would make Jerome's arms fall off." Chopin Nocturne op. 9 no. 2 in E Flat Major - Pianist Michel Mananes CD

Withrecitals for europa and suramerica specially. He won first prize in several young piano competitions. He is Piano Teacher in Madrid and continue to give concerts. Michel Mañanes has obtained, recently, the University Title of "Expert in Pianistic Interpretation", gotten with "Cum Laudae" by unanimous vote (International University of Andalusia) Chopin composed his popular Nocturne in E flat major, Op. 9, No. 2 when he was about twenty. Like much of Chopin's music, this nocturne is tinged with melancholy. This popular nocturne is in rounded binary form (A, A, B, A, B, A) with coda, C. The A and B sections become increasingly ornamented with each recurrence. The penultimate bar utilizes considerable rhythmic freedom, indicated by the instruction, senza tempo (without tempo). Nocturne in E Flat Major opens with a legato melody containing graceful upward leaps which becomes increasingly wide as the line unfolds. This melody is heard again three times during the piece. With each repetition, it is varied by ever more elaborate decorative tones and trills. The nocturne also includes a subordinate melody, which is played with rubato. A sonorous foundation for the melodic line is provided by the widely spaced notes in the accompaniment, connected by the damper pedal. The waltz like accompaniment gently emphasizes the 12/8 ...

DanceLife Interviews François Klaus & Robyn White from The Queensland Ballet

A good ballet company is an exceptional thing. It is a fragile instrument, requiring constant work, commitment and vigilant care from everyone involved, to be the best it can be. François Klaus François Klaus began dancing at the age of nine with the Russian teacher Julie Sedova and three years later began studying with Marika Besobrasova in Monte Carlo. Françoiss first contract as a professional dancer was at the age of 17, with the Geneva Ballet under the directorship of Serge Golovine. John Cranko offered François the opportunity to join his company in Stuttgart and to continue working with him as a soloist in Munich. François danced his first leading role (Prince Siegfried in Crankos Swan Lake) at the age of 22 and was promoted to principal dancer the following season. In Munich he met his wife, an Australian dancer, Robyn White, who had also been engaged by Cranko and was to pursue her career as a soloist with Hamburg Ballet. François also joined the Hamburg Ballet. Under John Neumeier it became one of Germanys leading companies, and for 18 years, François was one of the significant influences in the company. Singled out by critics for his fine artistic interpretation, his musicality, and enormous concentration, François was to create the leading male roles in many of the Neumeier ballets. Robyns professional teaching includes work for the Bern Ballet in Switzerland and the Semper Oper in Dresden, Germany. She has also conducted master classes organised by the Swiss ...
