Georgia O'Keeffe Abstraction at the WhitneyJames Kalm partakes in the press preview for this icon of American Modernism. Over twenty years in the making, this exhibition surveys the lesser known but perhaps more profound side of OKeeffes work, her abstraction. Beginning with her discovery and eventual relationship with Alfred Stieglitz in 1916, OKeeffe was thrust in to the stratosphere of the New York art scene. She was at the forefront of pursuing a type of organic abstraction that Stieglitz championed as Americas contribution to Modernism. Examples of OKeeffes paintings covering nearly fifty years of development are on view. Includes brief statements by Director Adam D. Weinberg, and the curatorial team lead by Barbara Haskell, Barbara Buhler Lynes and Sasha Nicholas.

Pro Gay "marriage" Witness is Also a CommissionerIn order to cover up his fraud, Steven Golstein promoted Ann Lynne Benson as a right to life conservative republican to give some impression that the CURC is unbiased. In fact Ann Lynne Benson was involved with right to life over 3 decades ago. She is now the representative of Garden State In-equality in her legislative district and the founder of the gay, lesbian straight network in south Jersey. Promoting Homo-sex and promising to vote for Gov Corzine, she is quite a phony republican. After testifying 2 times during the phony hearings as a witnesse, she was made a public commissioner on the CURC. Unbelievable but true in New Jersey where Corruption, Sex and Cover up coexist.

Famous Speeches: A Few Good MenI've been meaning to put this one up for a while. WARNING: LANGUAGE! Lieutenant Kaffee: Colonel Jessep! Did you order the "code red?!!" Judge Randolph: You don't have to answer that question! Jessep: I'll answer the question. You want answers? Lieutenant Kaffee: I think I'm entitled to them. Jessep: You want answers?! Lieutenant Kaffee: I want the truth! Jessep: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that Santiago's , while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall -- you need me on that wall. We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way, I don't give a ...

MrGoldInvestor's Gold on Record High as India May Buy more gold from IMFtinyurl.com Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Gold climbed to a record in London and New York on a further drop by the dollar and on a report that India may buy more bullion for its central-bank reserves. Gold has rallied 11 percent since India said on Nov. 3 it bought 200 metric tons of gold from the International Monetary Fund. The country, the worlds largest gold consumer, is open to additional purchases from the IMF, the Financial Chronicle newspaper reported. The US Dollar Index fell for a third day, sliding to the lowest level in more than 15 months. Central-bank buying has been one of the main factors of this recent rally, Peter Fertig, owner of Quantitative Commodity Research Ltd. in Hainburg, Germany, said today by phone. The weaker dollar is driving commodities higher. Gold for immediate delivery added as much as $13.05, or 1.1 percent, to $1182.45 an ounce and traded at $1179.85 by 12:13 pm in London. Prices may advance to $1200 next week, according to Fertig. Bullion futures for February delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchanges Comex division climbed 1.2 percent to $1181.10 an ounce. They earlier reached $1183.90. Up for a ninth day, futures are set for the longest stretch of gains since August 1982. Record Fixing The metal rose to a record $1176.50 an ounce in the morning fixing in London from $1163.25 at yesterdays afternoon fixing. Some mining companies use fixings to sell production. Spot prices are up 34 percent this year. Reserve Bank of India Governor Duvvuri ...

Jh.). The former vintner's village of Grandvaux (489 m above sea level) is nestled in the vineyards at the steep slope of the Lavaux by the Mont de Gourze mountain ...
