This film is nothing less than a masterpiece. It is a highly structured and stylized film about a serial killer. It created the serial kill genre, which includes such entries as Psycho and Silence of the Lambs. Alfred Hitchcock (the director of Psycho) was a disciple of Lang as were Jacques Tourneur (The Leopard Man (1943)) and Michael Powell (Peeping Tom (1960)). M was not only the originator of the genre, but arguably remains it preeminent entry. Highly recommended for those in the mood for a Hitchcockian-style thriller with a great performance by Peter Lorre and great story-telling technique by Fritz Lang

So với các thể loại cổ nhạc khác, kỹ thuật đàn dây của nhạc Tài tử- Cải lương phát triển tột bậc, hấp thu toàn bộ những giá trị tinh hoa của người Việt và đẩy lên tầm cao nhất trong nền âm nhạc dân tộc. Với nguyên tắc ngẫu hứng trên mô hình lòng bản, mỗi lần thể hiện tác phẩm là một lần nghệ nhân ngẫu hứng ứng tác. Bởi vậy, hình hài tác phẩm thiên biến vạn hóa tùy vào tài năng sáng tạo tại chỗ của từng cá thể. Hơn nữa, mỗi cuộc hòa đàn thực sự là cuộc đối thoại giữa các tâm hồn. Một cuộc hòa đàn hay, mỗi thành viên phải hết sức hiểu ý nhau qua từng ngón đàn, vào ra biến hóa như thế nào cho phù hợp, như một nghệ thuật phối khí tập thể tại chỗ, cái khó là ở chỗ đó.
