He started photographing professionally in 1986 and joined Afrapix, a collective of South African photographers with whom he worked closely until 1990. His work as a freelance photographer in South Africa for the local and foreign media included positions with Reuters between 1986 and 1988, and with Agence France Presse in 1993 and 1994. Tillim has received many awards for his work, including the Prix SCAM (Société Civile des Auteurs Multimedia), Roger Pic in 2002, the Higashikawa Overseas Photographer Award (Japan) in 2003, and the 2004 DaimlerChrysler Award for South African Photography. In 2005 he won the Leica Oskar Barnack Award for his Jo'burg series. He has exhibited extensively around the globe, including shows in Rome, Brazil, Austria, Germany, and his native Johannesburg. Twenty-five of his pieces from the Avenue Patrice Lumumba project will be on display at the Lannan Foundation Gallery from July 23rd until September 4th, 2011.

My friend decided to try a 2 man Algalon without any healer, so he asked me if i would like to try it with him. Outhealin Algalons melee hits is INSANE, this guy hits with about 7-11k with a 0,4s attackspeed, he really crushes my blood shield. The cosmic smashes are no prob, they deal just about 5-9k, the cosmic star explosions too. Did this in complete Tankgear of course, otherwise i would die faster than my cds are ready again. Notice: the big bang cast is PHY. dmg, that means it can be absorbed by the blood shield, thats why i almost didnt take any damage from it at all, always had a 120k+ shield up. When i got my 5th stack of the phase punch debuff, im ported into the spectral realm for about 8 sec., the rogue has Algas aggro while im down there, he stood at max range so Alga had to run to him first, when he reached him he used evasion and that stuff to survive till im back. Used the time in the void realm clever, hit the adds and built a blood shield for the big bang. I saved icebound fortitude for phase 2 (20%), i noticed that it wasnt really necessary, the adds died by blade flurry and heart strike and didnt deal damage at all.
