The bold opening image captures the entire cast silhouetted against the backdrop like a firing line. Dramatic music choice juxtaposes a sweet aria with trance beats. The dancers blend the two with their movement like finding the beauty in the urban. Throughout this piece are individual solos within the group, improvised restatements of a theme. Commands are called out and followed, however in an undefined manner unique to each dancer. Everyone appears to have been given liberty to feel impulses to find their own movement, but the rhythm unifies the cast.

Nonito visits Brian's gym in San Carlos daily to train, and will pick up the pace next week in preparation for his October 22nd defense against undefeated Omar Navarez of Argentina. Donaire's head trainer is Robert Garcia, a former World Champion himself from Oxnard. Early in his career, Nonito fought in Monterey (as did brother Glenn) at my RIOT AT THE HYATT shows.
