Alessandra Sanguinetti est née à New York en 1968. Elle partage aujourd'hui sa vie et son travail entre Buenos Aires et San Francisco. Son travail a été fréquemment présenté à l'étranger, en particulier lors d'une exposition qui lui était entièrement consacrée au Musée d'Art Moderne de Buenos Aires. La série The Adventures of Guille and Belinda and the Enigmatic Meaning of their Dreams a été publiée en 2010 aux éditions Nazraeli Press. Cette série qui suit sur plusieurs années la vie de deux cousines, a été montrée à la suite du BAL (Paris), du 13 mai au 11 juin 2011 au Flux Laboratory, en collaboration avec la Galerie Yossi Milo à New-York.

Luis Fernando is from Bolivia, where levels of stigma and discrimination are high. When Luis was first diagnosed with HIV six years ago he fell into a great depression. But now, with the help of Christian Aid partner IDH, he is far more positive about life; he has a loving family, is studying to be a lawyer to defend the rights of people living with HIV and runs a support group for families affected by HIV. More than anything Luis wants to be open about his status and live a normal life. In Bolivia there is still time to ensure that the HIV/AIDS pandemic never reaches those levels found in Africa. However, stigma and ignorance are two of the biggest hindrances to limiting the spread of the virus. It is people like Luis who will help challenge this stigma and discrimination. La fotógrafa española Cristina García Rodero se convirtió hoy en miembro de pleno derecho de la agencia internacional de fotografía Magnum, fundada en Francia en 1947 con el objetivo de dignificar la profesión y reivindicar la independencia del fotógrafo como artista. El "consejo de sabios" de la agencia -organizada como una cooperativa de fotógrafos con sede en París, Londres, Nueva York y Tokio- comunicó oficialmente su decisión a la artista horas antes de hacerla pública en una ceremonia en la capital británica. García Rodero era uno de los dos candidatos que habían solicitado entrar a formar parte del órgano constituyente de la agencia, cuyos 70 miembros finalmente la eligieron hoy a ella, en su reunión anual en Londres, frente al canadiense Chris Anderson, a quien dieron un año para mejorar su candidatura. En declaraciones a Efe, la fotógrafa española no ocultó su emoción y alivio por culminar un proceso que empezó en el 2005, cuando fue nominada con otras tres personas para entrar en la agencia, donde ascendió a la categoría de asociada en el 2007. "Estoy muy agradecida y espero estar a la altura de la confianza que se ha depositado en mí", dijo a Efe en Londres. Para García Rodero, el acceso pleno a Magnum supone estar rodeada de un "grupo de sabios", constituido por los mejores fotógrafos del mundo, que le permitirán "mantener un diálogo" sobre este arte y "aprender" de ellos.
