Née en 1977 à Kobe, Japon
Depuis 1998, Tomoko Sawada a réalisé plusieurs séries de travaux. Se prenant
systématiquement pour modèle, elle se travestit en une multitude de personnages,
prenant tour à tour la place des femmes japonaises de tout âge et de toute
situation : «Omaia» (2001) sur les stéréotypes de femme japonaise, «Cover» (2002)
sur les adolescentes, «Costume» (2003) sur les femmes au travail, «Shool Days»
