Miroslav Tichý est né en 1926 à Netcice en Moravie, où il vit toujours. A la fin des années 60, il
découvre la photographie qui lui permet d'échapper à la folie et à la dictature. Construisant lui-même
son matériel photographique à partir de matériaux de rebut, il établit une sorte de rituel qui le fait
prendre chaque jour, à la dérobée une centaine de photos des femmes de son village dans le
