Michael Najjar was born on 31 October 1966 in Landau (West Germany) and has lived in Berlin since 1988.
He is a graduate of the Bildo Academy for Art and Media in Berlin where he studied experimental and interdisciplinary approaches to photography, video and computer, and where he first came into contact with the cultural theorists and philosophers Jean Baudrillard, Vilém Flusser and Paul Virilio, who were to have a decisive influence on his later work.
