The Langhans Gallery aims for high quality. We want to be a place for the arts, for encounters and for the exchange of ideas; to be a bridge between East and West; to be an interface between tradition and innovation, continuity and discontinuity. We are a non-profit institution (Langhans Galerie Foundation, founded 2003) arising from the Langhans-Meisner estate. A basic endowment should soon be supplemented by public donations, as well as by support from sponsors. By means of a one-time contribution, the Foundation is guaranteeing the completion of the programme planned for 2003/2004. The first exhibitions are the product of a provisional project committee. The Gallery is certain its current projects will awaken in potential sponsors the confidence and interest necessary for its long-term survival.
