Anya Stonelake / White Space Gallery are to present the UK's first exhibition of works by photographer Emil Cadoo, focusing on his seminal period of the 1960s-70s.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Emil Cadoo (1926 - 2002) was one of the defining photographers of the 1960s. Anya Stonelake/White Space Gallery proudly presents Lithuanian Portraits, an exhibition of works by Lithuania's most celebrated photographer, Antanas Sutkus (b. 1939 -). A master of monochrome documentary photography, Sutkus has had a strong influence on the development of photography in the Baltic. His lucid and extraordinary images of everyday events in his Lithuanian homeland have been compared to the humanistic approach of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Andre Kertesz.

Being Beauteous brings together rarely seen vernacular archive photographs from Soviet Russia with images by internationally renowned photographers. The curatorial concept sets out the key theme of feminine beauty along two axes: Public/Private, and Western/Eastern.
