walter storms galerie is proud to present its third exhibition dedicated exclusively to the work of Roland Fischer. His most recent photographs depict skyscraper façades in Brazil, the US and China and will be shown along with his latest set of works, Alhambra.
This series was inspired by pictures of the Granada Alhambra taken by the famous pioneers of photography in the 19th century, which are now located at the Fondo Fotografico Achive of the University of Navarra in Pamplona. Fischer had been invited to the archive to work with and research the collection. Some of these early photographs reappear in digitalized form in his current work...
