Rebus: A Journal of Art History and Theory has now published its third issue. This issue collects together papers from an interdisciplinary postgraduate conference, titled Religion: New Perspectives, that was hosted by the Department of Art History and Theory in June 2008. These papers explore religion through Man Ray's photography, the writings of Gustav Hartlaub, post-First World War German woodcuts, Georges Bataille, Carl Jung's psychoanalysis, and demonic possession in Elizabethan England. Also to be found in this issue are reviews of exhibitions held in London, New York, and Utrecht. Full contents of this issue are below.
