FrenchMottershead - Over the Threshold, at the Photographer's Gallery
For the first of The Photographers’ Gallery’s Soho Projects, London based artist duo FrenchMottershead present Over the Threshold, a series of photographs resulting from their six month residency in London’s Soho. Charity Auction For The Photographers' Gallery New Building
To coincide with its 40th anniversary, The Photographers’ Gallery, London will stage a Charity Auction at Christie’s South Kensington on Thursday 17 February 2011. Designed to help raise the final funds to transform its Ramillies Street premises, the event will comprise a Live and Silent Auction, offering 70 lots. With estimates ranging from £600 to £10,000, this will be the perfect opportunity for collectors of photography to add to their collections, while supporting a new state-of-the-art photography gallery in London.

The work of American photographer Sally Mann is deeply rooted in both her family, and the landscape she lives and works in. This exhibition, her first solo-show in the UK, draws on several powerful photographic series from throughout her long career that reflect these influences.
