On its theme of ‘Border Cultures,' editor Scott McLeod writes: ‘Over time, ongoing exchanges and interactions between nations, peoples and economies create distinct border zones, such as those of the United States and Mexico, Algeria and France, the cities of Windsor/Detroit, and military and civilian zones throughout the world, among others. Scott McLeod, director and curator of Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art in Toronto, has been appointed curator of the twelfth presentation of Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal, scheduled to take place in September 2011. The announcement was made by Vincent Lavoie, President of the Board of Directors, at the colloquium for the eleventh presentation of the biennale held at the Canadian Centre for Architecture on October 2, 2009.
