The Roma Journeys - Joakim Eskildsen
From 6 March through 18 April the Noorderlicht Photogallery presents a personal photo document about the Roma by photographer Joakim Eskildsen. Between 2000 and 2006 Eskildsen travelled together with the writer Cia Rinne through seven countries to obtain more insight into the life and culture of the Roma. Noorderlicht kicks off this new year with a double exhibition on pop photography. POPVIEW 2010 shows the work of the ten nominees for the Lex van Rossen Award 2010. In the solo exhibition Popular work Dennis Duijnhouwer explores the boundaries of pop photography.
We kindly invite you for the opening on 14 January at 5:00 pm in the Noorderlicht Photogallery. The opening will be conducted by Annie Hoogendoorn, pop photographer and winner of the Lex van Rossen Award 2008. The nominees and Dennis Duijnhouwer will be present at this occasion as well.
