Gregg Louis - Everyday UFOs
Everyday UFOs, an exhibition of recent photography by Gregg Louis, will be on view in the project room at the Nohra Haime Gallery from March 16th through April 23rd.
In his first solo exhibition in New York, Louis uses photography to construct uncanny images of UFOs out of found household objects such as light bulbs, TV antennas, dishes, plungers, etc. His process of arranging, stacking, and transposing these mundane objects against a black backdrop creates surreal images that humorously and sometimes eerily re-imagine everyday reality. EVE SONNEMAN - LA COTE D'AZUR
EVE SONNEMAN: LA COTE D'AZUR, an intriguing exhibition including a series of thirteen diptych color photographs will be on view at the Nohra Haime Gallery from October 7 through November 7. In her most recent body of work, Sonneman turns her lens towards the South of France. As she presents the viewer with sequence shots of people engaged in leisure activities, the artist explores the notion of the landscape as witness to the passage of time.

Margeaux Walter ONENESS
Margeaux Walter's first one-person exhibition, ONENESS, will be on view at the Nohra Haime Gallery from February 12 through March 12, 2008. A series of six haunting portraits of isolation and distance depict the present human condition.
In her new series, Oneness, Walter has created a group of minimalist portraits that imitate gestures and expressions one might see every day as humans interact. Through these portraits, Walter is exploring the change in human communication as technologies advance and society is modernized.
