Galerie Priska Pasquer is pleased to present the Canary series by Japanese artist Lieko Shiga, for which she won the “Infinity Award (Young Photographer)” from the International Center of Photography, New York, in 2009.

Polaroids - Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol was one of the most influential figures in contemporary art with his paintings, objects, drawings and other media. In the past years the Polaroid photographs - a lesser known, but nevertheless essential part of Warhol’s work - came into focus.
The exhibition includes portraits of artists, celebrities and sportsmen like Robert Rauschenberg, Josef Beuys, Liza Minnelli, Muhammad Ali as well as self-portraits by the artist.

With “A Glimmer in Silence”, Rinko Kawauchi recalls the spirit of the “Utatane” series with which she entered the art scene in 2001. Today, Rinko Kawauchi is one of the best-known Japanese photographers of her generation.

Towards the City - YUTAKA TAKANASHI
Exhibition of the works of Japanese photographer Yutaka Takanashi, whom the gallery represents exclusively since the beginning of 2010.
In the first overseas solo exhibition to be devoted to his works since the mid-1980s, a selection of Takanashi's works from the period 1963 - 1974 will be featured.
Yutaka Takanashi was one of the co-founders of the legendary "Provoke" group which revolutionised Japanese photography at the end of the 1960s. Other members of this group included Daido Moriyamya - the subject of two past exhibitions by Galerie Priska Pasquer - and Takuma Nakahira.
