Foto8 once again opens its doors for amateur and professional photographers alike to come and have their portfolios reviewed by the people behind Foto8 and HOST and our esteemed guests. The portfolio review will include two 20 minute sessions, during which you will see a total of four reviewers who will review portfolios in groups of two.

Foto8 Award 2009 Winner Announced
Foto8 and HOST Gallery are pleased to announce that the award for Best in Show at the Foto8 Summer Show 2009 goes to Torben Weiss for his image “Mr Brohr in his room full of pictures” and the Public Vote has been awarded to Sofie Knijff.
The panel of judges (see below) were impressed by the high standard and diversity of all selected entries and discussed the considerations that constitute the success of a single image: formal qualities of composition, technical competence of the photographer and originality. Yet, the deciding factor was ultimately the context of the image.

Foto8 is pleased to announce the dates for the Second Annual Foto8 Summer Show and Awards and launch party. The special photography exhibition will kick off on Friday, 24 July with the official opening of the show, a complimentary bar, guest music DJ’s and a carnival in Honduras Street, EC1.
