The 13th International Festival of Photojournalism “City of Gijón”, which will be held in Gijon, Spain in July, from 10th to 19th, within the framework of the “Semana Negra”.
During this “Black Week”, the Culture and the “Fiesta” are linked in a singular event. Around one million people, including dozens of writers, journalists, filmmakers, and photojournalists from all over the world, will take part in lectures, concerts, debates, exhibitions, and celebrations which are held in a closed area of two square kilometers.
It will take place in Gijón, a seaside town in Asturias, located 450 kilometers north from Madrid. Since sixteen years ago you can enjoy there important cultural events. Besides, the city has got beautiful green landscapes, beaches and a delicious gastronomy worthy of being enjoyed in the company of its welcoming people.
Conditions
1. The works will be pre-selected and show in the “Evening Screenings” sessions that will take place throughout the 13th International Photojournalism Festival from the 11th to the 19th of July, 2009
2. The theme of all projects is open.
3. The jury, which is composed of prestigious editors and photojournalists, will announce their decision at the end of the Festival.
4. The dead line to receive projects is 10th of June, 2009.
5. The projects may be in black/white or in color and presented in CD-rom and images should be formatted as follows:
Photoshop
Resolution: 250 dpi
JPEG: medium quality
Image size: 2000 x 1300 pixels
Each project should be accompanied by a C.V. of the participant as well as contact information.
6. Each project must consist of at least 40 photographs and a maximum of 100. The photographs must be numbered by order and with a generic title accompaning each one.
7. All projects will remain in the archives of the organization. The organization only has the right to use the pictures for publicity purposes, promotion and exhibits of the Festival.
8. The participant must be the bearer of the rights of each project and accept the above conditions.
9. The prize consists of 6.000 Euros

Les photographes sont invités à soumettre leurs images pour le prestigieux prix Hasselblad Masters. Les catégories et les conditions de participation au prix 2014 ont été élargies, ce qui ouvre le concours à un nombre inédit de photographes.
Véritable succès en 2011 lors de sa première édition, le prix Photo par Nature permet aux professionnels et amateurs éclairés de voir leurs meilleures photographies exposées dans l’enceinte du Jardin des Plantes. Organisé conjointement par le Muséu...
Les participants disposent ainsi d’un peu plus de quatre mois pour présenter jusqu’à trois photographies, entre amusement et insouciance, folâtrerie espiègle ou badinerie.
Un jury pluridisciplinaire se réunira en août 2012 et attribuera les trois prix suivants parmi les participants :
Le samedi 5 mai 2012, seul ou en binôme, vous ferez battre la ville de Lyon au rythme des 12 déclics photographiques qui feront peut-être de vous l’un des lauréats du Créathlon Photo... Et qui vous permettront de repartir avec l’un des nombreux prix mis en jeu !
Les participants ont 24h00 pour imaginer 12 photographies sur une pellicule couleur 12 poses ou un appareil jetable, illustrant 12 thèmes connus au dernier moment. Le jury se compose cette année de Anne-sophie Annese, Benoît Cary, Michaël Korchia, Harold Lagaillarde, Xavi...
