The New York Photo Awards announced today the addition of three sponsors for category award winners at this year’s New York Photo Awards Gala to be held May 15 at St. Ann’s Warehouse.
Additionally, the submission deadline has been extended to May 10. A raffle awarding a $250 B&H Photo coupon for all submissions and or ticket orders received will be awarded the evening of the festival opening party at The powerHouse Arena (one raffle chance per order).
As official sponsors of the New York Photo Awards 2009, B&H will be providing 8 brand-new Canon G10 cameras towards a pool of prizes to be awarded to this year’s award winners. PCP (powerHouse Custom Publishing) will contribute editions of an applicant’s book printed with its premier short-run printing partner. powerHouse Portfolio Reviews will offer full complimentary sessions at its popular annual reviews.
All participants in this years’ New York Photo Awards 2009 are being asked to log onto the Awards’ website and select their preferred prize ranking.
Furthermore, this year the New York Photo Awards will organize a raffle for all participants submitting their work between May 1st and May 10th (inclusive). The winners of this raffle will receive a $250 gift card from B&H and a $250 gift card from pH Books.
Winners and Honorable Mentions of the New York Photo Awards 2009 will be announced at a Gala Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the St. Ann's Warehouse Theater in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Last year's inaugural event sold-out weeks in advance, and we expect an even bigger turnout this year. Seating is limited, so order tickets early!
Additionally, Winners, Honorable Mentions, and those electing consideration for their submissions will be eligible for inclusion in the New York Photo Awards website as well as the beautifully designed New York Photo Awards Annual 2009, and exhibited at next year's New York Photo Festival (NYPH'10) as part of the "New Visionaires 2009" exhibition. All in all, Winners and Honorable Mentions will receive unprecedented exposure for their work, unmatched by any other award-giving organization.
