VASILE DOROLTI
mieszka w Baia-Mare (Rumunia), mieście partnerskim Bielska-Białej.

Fotografuje od roku 1976.
Poważniej zajął się fotografią w latach 80-tych, kiedy to studiował na “University Photo Club” w Cluj.
Zdobył wiele ważnych nagród fotograficznych na konkursach organizowanych podczas studenckich festiwali w tym czasie.
Wraz z kolegami - takimi jak m.in.: Mircea Albu, Karol Feleki (obecnie nauczyciel fotografii na uniwersytecie w Cluj), Istvan Feleki, Dorel Gaina i Petre Mercea - stworzyli solidne podstawy tzw. “Szkoły diaporamistow ” z Cluj.
Brał również udział w wielu wysatawach indywidualnych i zbiorowych (międzynarodowych), organizowanych pod patronatem FIAP i AAFR (rumuńskie Towarzystwo Artystów Fotografików).
Zajął się również fotografowaniem w jaskiniach. Często współpracuje z Cristianem Lascu – znanym rumuńskim spaleologiem i badaczem – obecnie redaktorem naczelnym rumuńskiej edycji “National Geographic".
 W 1999 utworzył towarzystwo ”7 Zile” (wraz z Cosminem Bumbutem, Silviu Ghetiem i Rene Treiblem), którego do dnia dzisiejszego jest prezesem.
Grupa “7 Zile ” odbiła swe piętno na rumuńskiej fotografii początku XXI wieku i po siedmiu latach działalności (plenery i wystawy krajowe i zagraniczne) opublikowała album pt. 7 Zile,  7 Ani in Maramures”, który odniósł ogromny sukces. Książka ukazała się dzięki najbardziej prestiżowemu wydawnictwu w Rumunii – Humanitas.
Autor wystawiał swe prace w Rumunii, na Węgrzech, we Francji i Holandii. W Polsce autor wystawi swe prace po raz pierwszy.
Jego prace ukazały się również w albumach zbiorowych: “Piatra Altarului” (1994, jaskinie) “Muntii Apuseni” (przyroda, 2006).
Współpracuje z tygodnikiem kulturalnym “Dilema Veche”.
Publikuje artukuły o fotografii w “Photomagazine” (Rumunia), “Digital Foto” (Ukraina) , “Lens Work” (USA), Minolta Mirror (Japonia).

He has been taking photos since 1976, highschool.
Devotion: starting with the 80’s , as student, as part of the “University Photo Club”  from Cluj.
He participates an wins “one after another” the most important awards at the students’ photo festivals of that period of time.
Together with   Mircea Albu, Karol Feleki (now teacher at the photo University of Cluj), Istvan Feleki, Dorel Gaina and  Petre Mercea (and also others), they put on a solid basis the so-called “The School of  Diaporama(slideshows)”from Cluj.
He also take part in group exhibitions and international shows under patronage of   FIAP and AAFR(Romanian Art Photographers Association).
He also practices successfully the cave photography.
He works often with Cristian Lascu – a well known Romanian speleologist and researcher – today chief editor at “National Geographic Romania”Magazine.
 Since the 1999 he has been founding the”7 Zile” association (together with Cosmin Bumbut, Silviu Ghetie and Rene Treibl), partnership of which he is still its chief.
The “7 Zile ” group will put a mark on the Romanian photography of the 2000’s and after 7 years of photo activity (photocampus and exhibitions in the country and abroad) it publishes with success the “7 Zile,  7 Ani in Maramures” photoalbum under the patronge of the most prestigious publishing house in Romania – Humanitas.
He exhibits in Romania, Hungary, France, Holland.
Joint author of some photoalbums :“Piatra Altarului” (1994, cave photography ) “Muntii Apuseni” (nature photography, 2006) and, of course, the “7 Zile, 7 Ani in Maramures” book in 2007.
Contributor  to the “Dilema Veche” weekly culturemagazine.
He publishes articles about photography in “Photomagazine” (Romania) , “Digital Foto” (Ukraine) , “Lens Work” (USA),Minolta Mirror(Japan).
