Pour rester libre dans ses actions, l'association Droit Au Logement ne sollicite et n'accepte aucune subvention.
Outre les cotisations de ses membres, elle se finance essentiellement par une vente aux enchères d'oeuvres originales.
Traditionnellement cette vente rassemble des dessins de presse et des planches de BD. Pour la première fois, le DAL a lancé un appel aux professionnels de la photographie. L'UPC, Picturetank et de nombreux photographes indépendants ont répondu présents.

La vente sera animée par Jean di Sciullo, expert et Eric Dumeyniou, commissaire-priseur.
