The PGB Photo Award is proud to present the prestigious jury of the 2009 contest. - The jury has been handpicked for its uniqe expertise in the field of photography, says Jonas Lemberg, founder of The PGB Photo Award.

The PGB Photo Award contest is decided by two juries. The initial jury will narrow down the number of entries to a suitable number. This jury is made up of three qualified individuals with extensive knowledge in photography.

The final jury is made up of nine qualified individuals with widely diverse backgrounds. They are picked from a pool of picture editors, photographers and representatives of press agencies, and come from different parts of the world. They will meet in Stockholm, Sweden in the middle of January for the final meeting to choose the award winning pictures. The jury will stay at the exklusive Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm

The deadline for the contest is the 4th of January.

The juries act independently and The PGB Photo Award has no influence on their decisions. Nominated photographers will be presented around January 20 on The PGB Photo Award website. Winners will be announced on March 6, 2009 at 3 pm during The PGB Photo Award gala at Berns Salonger in Stockholm.

There are three awards in each category: 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize. Nominated photographers will receive one of these prizes. The final results are secret until the big gala night at Berns in Stockholm.

In the categories Photographer of the Year, and Picture of the Year, there is only one winner.

About The PGB Photo Award:
The PGB Photo Award is a yearly photo contest dedicated to find the best
pictures taken during the year: The contest is open to everybody in the world
and has twelve categories. Entries are accepted up to January 4, 2009
whereafter they'll be judged by an international jury. The winners are
presented March 6, 2009 at Berns Salonger in Stockholm, Sweden. The goal of
the contest is to help change the world for the better. The total prize equals
