Dear All, I am invited as the Guest Editor for the next issue of the fantastic Capricious Magazine. www.becapricious.com I am looking for photographers to illustrate the theme "I just can't get enough". The presented work is neither commercial, nor fashion photography; it creates a visual narrative without intermediary contextualization. We don't like borders or boundaries or oppressors. We are thankful for the camera and for photographers that continue to share their work with us, loaning us a different pair of eyes, giving us a way to see what is happening or not. We hope for submissions of alternate realities, whether those to escape from, to hope for, or just to exist in. -Just can't get enough- How are struggles of- Addiction. Dependency. Resistance. Strength. Escape. Control. Reason. Insanity. Profusion. Abundance. Extravagance. Repetition. Frustration. Satisfaction. Disappointment - played out: how can they be relinquished or not. Whether specific (i.e.- Just can't get enough…peanut butter, magic mushrooms, parties, music, shoes, seduction or any other habit or disorder.)or more abstract, how do insatiable desires look? We want you to submit 12-15 photographs (more will not be viewed). We accept all formats and all colors. Send photo prints (8x10 inches, A4) or CD-ROM scanned 8x10 inches (A4) 300 dpi. Please attach color proofs of every photograph if you submit on a CD. We also need you to write Capricious with your handwriting and send it with your material. Not all submissions will be guaranteed a spot in the coming issue, yet Capricious keeps an archive and will consider your work for future issues. Please make sure you have model releases for all submitted work. Capricious has the right to use published material in promotional matters. Deadline: March 20th, 2007.
