The post auction sale of works not sold takes place until December 12th. The auction is organized for my friend Alexandra Mihu, who was born in my hometown Sibiu in Romania. She studies music at the academy in Bucarest. Alexandra got ill with leukemia three years ago. She had two years of treatment with chemotherapy, which seemed to have been successful, when I have spent time with her this summer. She returned to her piano studies to make her master degree in Bucarest. Unfortunately a routine examination three weeks ago discovered a complete recidivism, so that she has to return to therapy. In collaboration with a hospital in Munich they are searching internationally for a donator of bone marrow. This is the only alternative to chemotherapy, which is too aggressive in the long run. Both, the search for the donator and the operation itself are very expensive and not covered by the Romanian health insurance. With the incredibly fast and wonderful support of the artists above, who donated their works for the auction, we can make this special "Santa Claus Evening" happen.
