KID in Mask © Harvey Stein, 2014
We want to see your photographs of KIDS, but not cute. Any format, any camera, any style is fine. We are seeking images of KIDS that are a bit unusual and out of the ordinary, not the conventionally cute and sentimental images that are often seen. The photographs can be amusing, interesting, sad, frank and biting. The tone can convey an appreciation for the joys and difficulties experienced by KIDS in the essentially absurd predicament of growing into an adult world. KIDS pictured in environments from home to zoo, from city streets to rural and suburban places, from the neighborhood to the ends of the earth, with or without their fellow man or KIDS are all sought.
The exhibition is open to all photographers, any format, any camera, black & white or color, any style acceptable. All types of photography-based work may be entered, including digital, iphone, alternative processes, photo collage and montage. Maximum finished print size is 16”x20”. Maximum frame size is 20”x24”.
A book based on the selected and exhibited images for KIDS (NOT CUTE) will be published by the Umbrella Arts gallery and will be for sale during the exhibition. All rights remain with the photographer.
