Two Cash Awards. Two Solo Exhibitions. - Deadline Extended: January 31, 2012
   
The deadline has been extended for Silver Eye's Fellowship 12: International Photography Competition to Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:59:59 p.m. EST.
 
Now in its 12th year, this juried competition identifies and recognizes both rising talent and established photographers from all corners of the globe and from the state of Pennsylvania. Former winners include Elijah Gowin (2000); Kerry Stuart Coppin (2002); Dylan Vitone (2004); Howard Henry Chen (2006); Martín Weber (2008); Katrina d'Autremont (2009); and Laura Heyman (2010). Could you be next? You still have time to submit your most innovative work for this prestigious award.  The online process is easy and takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.
 
JURORS
 
Ellen Fleurov, Silver Eye Center for Photography, Pittsburgh, PA and Julie Saul, Owner/Director, Julie Saul Gallery , New York, NY, one of the premier photography galleries in the U.S.
 
AWARDS
    One (1) International Award Winner receives a solo exhibition at Silver Eye opening in mid-May 2012; $3,000 for exhibition-related expenses; an online gallery on Silver Eye's website (with link to artist website); and extensive media outreach and promotion.
    One (1) Keystone Award Winner receives a spotlight exhibition at Silver Eye; $1,000 for exhibition-related expenses; an online gallery on Silver Eye's website (with link to artist website); and media outreach and promotion.
    Up to Five (5) Jurors' Commendation Winners will be named on Silver Eye's website and press releases. 
ELIGIBILITY
    All U.S. and international amateur and professional photographers, ages 18 and older, may apply.
    Silver Eye staff and their relatives, Board members, current interns, and past Fellowship winners are not eligible to apply.
    Pennsylvania artists are eligible for consideration for all awards.
FEES
    $65 fee for Non-Silver Eye Members.
    $15 fee for current Silver Eye Members at the $70 level and above, with membership valid through January 31, 2012. 
WHAT TO ENTER
    Eight images from a cohesive, exhibition-ready body of work created within the past three years.  Or, if an ongoing project, the portfolio must include imagery created within the past three years.
    A one-page artist statement and CV in PDF format.

NOTIFICATION
 
Fellowship 12 winners will be notified by phone immediately following the decision of the jurors. Non-selected photographers will be notified by email by the beginning of February 2012.
