Special conditions of entry for photographers
The competition is open to any photographer who has submitted a picture for publication in an Australian media outlet in the 12 month eligibility period.
The cost of entering the photographic categories, including GST, is $260. For photographers only one fee is payable, regardless of the number of categories entered. Through its support of the Walkley Awards, the Alliance covers the entry cost for its financial members as a benefit of membership.
Only photographers working in community or regional media are eligible to enter the "Community and regional photography" category.
Photographers must submit up to a 400-word entry statement with each category entered
Photographers are required to register their entry on the Walkley online registration as well as register online on the Nikon website to upload low-res. images. Photographers must also physically send in a CD of the same images in an uncompressed TIFF 10-15MB file size for printing together with copies of entry forms. No cloning, montaging or digital manipulation other than cropping, "digital spotting", burning and dodging is permitted. One photographer and his/her entries per CD
Photographers may enter one or more of the photographic categories and the all media categories
Each entrant can enter once in any one category but may submit one or more pictures on the same subject (a series is limited to 5 images) however;
* Photo Essay can be up to 12 images with at least one published image
* Nikon-Walkley Press Photographer can be between 6-10 images with at least one published image
Entrants may not enter the same photograph in more than one category except:
* Where the entrant applies to both the Photographic and the All Media categories in either the Portrait or Community/Regional categories. These are Nikon-Walkley Prizes. Entrants in both these categories are eligible to submit these entries again in another appropriate Walkley Award category.
* In the Nikon-Walkley Press Photographer of the Year award where the body of the year's work may include shots included in other entries
Les photographes sont invités à soumettre leurs images pour le prestigieux prix Hasselblad Masters. Les catégories et les conditions de participation au prix 2014 ont été élargies, ce qui ouvre le concours à un nombre inédit de photographes.

Les participants disposent ainsi d’un peu plus de quatre mois pour présenter jusqu’à trois photographies, entre amusement et insouciance, folâtrerie espiègle ou badinerie.
Un jury pluridisciplinaire se réunira en août 2012 et attribuera les trois prix suivants parmi les participants :
Le samedi 5 mai 2012, seul ou en binôme, vous ferez battre la ville de Lyon au rythme des 12 déclics photographiques qui feront peut-être de vous l’un des lauréats du Créathlon Photo... Et qui vous permettront de repartir avec l’un des nombreux prix mis en jeu !
Les participants ont 24h00 pour imaginer 12 photographies sur une pellicule couleur 12 poses ou un appareil jetable, illustrant 12 thèmes connus au dernier moment. Le jury se compose cette année de Anne-sophie Annese, Benoît Cary, Michaël Korchia, Harold Lagaillarde, Xavi...
