PhotoMarathon is a photo contest that lasts for 24 hours.
The challenge is to interpret the 24 subjects in 24 photos in 24 hours. It is also possible only to participate in 12 hours.
When the photo series are rewarded, it is the idea behind the pictures composition and unit of image quality, that determines which photo get the prizes.
PhotoMarathon has until now existed for 21 years.
Only digital cameras can be used in the competition, and editing the pictures are not allowed.

Join PhotoMarathon. Turn up at Nytorv in Copenhagen on Saturday August 29 with your digital camera and join the fun.
PhotoMarathon is an exciting and challenging experience where you compete with yourself and with the other participants for the many prizes.
PhotoMarathon is also a social experience where you meet others interested in photographing. Participants are a mixed crowd - with different backgrounds, age and gender.
PhotoMarathon is open to anyone who which to participate.
The only thing required is a digital camera that uses one of the following memory cards:
- Compact Flash (CF card)
- Secure Digital (SD card)
We look forward to meet both amateurs and professionals.
NB. If your camera uses a different type memory card you are still able to participate in the competition, you just have to bring an empty card with space for 12/24 photos. The memory card will be returned to you at the prize ceremony.
PhotoMarathon 2009 is being held on Saturday August 29.
The competition starts at 11.00am sharp – and ends 24 hours later.
Registration is between 9.30 and 10.55am – arrive early if you want to avoid queuing.

The prize ceremony will be held on the 19.September.
The winner will be published on Photo Marathon's homepage.
PhotoMarathon 2009 starts at Saturday the 29.August 2009 at 11.00am in Copenhagen, Odense and Aalborg.

In Odense photo marathon is based at ‘CLICK Fotomagasinet’, Vestergade 5 – right across from cityhall.
